Women Scientist Scheme-C (WOS-C)

Women Scientist Scheme-C (WOS-C) is the third such scheme by Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Government of India. Under this scheme same task as previous two schemes are done but women are trained particularly to give their contribution for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for one year. The main objective of this last scheme under WOS is to help women and empower them to prevent science and technology effectively in India. The aim is to create a pool of women who did their study from Engineering, Science and Medicine which will further work together in managing intellectual property of the country.

Benefits of Women Scientist Scheme-C:

  • Fellowship to Ph.D. or equivalent degree holder: Women with a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent degree are given fellowship of Rs. 17,500
  • Fellowship to M.Sc. or equivalent degree holder: Women with M.SC. degree or an equivalent degree are given fellowship of Rs. 12,500
  • Incentive to clear exam: Incentive of Rs. 10,000 is given to clear Patent Agent Examination during training

Eligibility for Women Scientist Scheme-C:

  1. Women should be Indian national
  2. Age must be below 50 years while applying
  3. Should have computer handling knowledge
  4. Must be graduate in technology/post-graduate /doctorate in science, medicine

Document required for the scheme:

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Bank passbook having bank account holder name, number, branch name and bank name with MICR code, IFSC code
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. All previous education documents like mark sheets and degrees
  5. Research case study
