Indian Army Technical Recruitment 2023 – Indian Army 10+2 TES 50 Vacancy Details 2023

The Indian Army is now accepting online applications from unmarried male candidates for the Permanent Commission 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) Course – 50, commencing from January 2024. This recruitment drive aims to fill 90 technical vacancies in the Indian Army. Eligible Indian nationals who have successfully passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects, and appeared in the JEE (Mains) 2023 examination, are invited to apply for this opportunity to join the Army after undergoing four years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training. The online application for the Indian Army 10+2 TES 50 will be open from 1st June 2023 to 30th June 2023.

Indian Army TES Age Limit

To be eligible for the Indian Army TES, a candidate must meet the following age requirements:

  • A candidate must not be below 16 & 1/2 years and above 19 & 1/2 years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing.
  • In other words, the candidate should have been born between 2nd July 2004 and 1st July 2007 (both days inclusive).

Indian Army TES Type of Commission

Upon successful completion of the four-year course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army with the rank of Lieutenant.

Indian Army TES Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Indian Army TES, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from recognized education boards.
  • The eligibility condition for calculating PCM percentage of various state/central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
  • Candidates must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2023.

Indian Army TES Selection Process

The selection process for the Indian Army TES is as follows:

(a) Shortlisting of Applications:

  • Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on the cutoff percentage as decided.
  • After shortlisting, the candidates will be informed about their allotted center online.
  • Candidates will then have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first-come, first-served basis.

(b) SSB Interview:

  • Only shortlisted eligible candidates, depending on the cutoff percentage, will undergo the SSB (Service Selection Board) interview.
  • The interview will take place at one of the Selection Centres, namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab).
  • Call Up letters for the SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centres through the candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only.
  • The allotment of the Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army), and no requests for changes will be entertained.

(c) Selection Procedure:

  • Candidates will undergo a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II, while those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day.
  • The SSB interview duration is five days, and detailed information can be found on the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • After Stage II, candidates who are recommended will undergo a medical examination.

(d) Medical Examination:

  • Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will proceed to the next stage, which includes a medical examination conducted by a board of male/female doctors.

(e) Joining Letter:

  • Candidates who are finally selected will receive a joining letter for training based on the order of merit and the number of vacancies available.

(f) Bonds/Certificates:

  • The finally selected candidates will be required to execute all the Bonds/Certificates prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under AI 53/78.

(g) Arm/Service Allotment:

  • Candidates should have no objection to the allotment of any Arm/Service in the interest of the organization upon final selection.
