The Government of Gujarat has launched an official portal called as Digital Gujarat with a mission to provide public services online. The citizens of Gujarat can now apply and download all the important certificates such as Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate etc online.

What is Income Certificate? It is a certificate provided by the government which certifies the income of an individual. It is required to avail benefits of certain schemes and scholarships.

Who can apply for Income Certificate in Gujarat:

  1. People born or receding in the state of Gujarat

Documents required for application of Income Certificate in Gujarat:

  1. Proof of address (copy of ration card/copy of voter card/electricity bill/water bill/gas connection)
  2. Applicant’s income report verified by Patwari/Municipal Corporation
  3. Self-declaration certificate
  4. Proof of Age (school leaving certificate)
  5. Recent salary slip (for govt. employs)

Step by step application procedure for getting Income Certificate online in Gujarat:

  1. Go to the official website of Gujarat Government ( https://www.digitalgujarat.gov.in/ )
  2. If you are not registered already with this portal then register yourself first, click HERE for procedure to register on the Government of Gujarat official portal
  3. Registered user click on Revenue menu and Income Certificate sub-menu as shown below:
  4. This will take you to the Instruction page which has details on the documents required for the application of the Income Certificate. Go to the bottom of the page and click on Apply Online button alternatively you can click on the Download Form button to download the form and apply offline
  5. Specify your login credentials and login
  6. After successful login choose Application Language of your choice, mention AADHAR Number and click on Continue to service
  7. Specify your details in the form mentioned below click on Update Profile button to save your profile for further usage and then click on Next button
  8. It takes you to the page as shown below where you need to specify further details such as address, members in family, occupation, work address, Income detail etc. so, click I need champions button
  9. Next you need to upload the supporting documents such as proof of residence, identity proof etc upload all the certificates/documents and click on Submit
  10. Next you need to pay for the application which completes the application procedure for Income Certificate in Gujarat
  11. You will get your application ID via email/SMS and you can track progress of the application on the same Digital Gujarat portal
