To support and provide assistance to the priests facing financial crisis

West Bengal state cabinet approved the ‘Rajya Purohit Kalyan Prokolpo’ scheme on September 24, 2020. CMO West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee announced this scheme last week. This scheme is for the sanatan Brahmin Priests in the state. Under this scheme, Rs. 1000 will be provided as monthly allowance to the brahmin priests. Apart from this free housing will also be allotted to about 8000 priests.
