West Bengal’s new Scholarship scheme for minority communities student

West Bengal Government has started Scholarship scheme for minority communities student. Scheme name is Aikyashree. Government wants to provide financial support and encouragement to minority student for education. Government decided to provide three type of scholarship Pre-matric Scholarship, Post-matric Scholarship and Merit-cum-means Scholarship. According to scheme applicant must have 50% marks in their previous examination and belongs to family who’s yearly income not exceed than Rs.2 lakh.

Three type of scholarship for minority communities:

  • Pre-matric Scholarship: meritorious students from Class-I to Class-X
  • Post-matric Scholarship: meritorious students from Class-XI to Ph. D
  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: pursuing technical & professional courses

Benefits:

  • Post-matric Scholarship: Upto Rs.16,500
  • Merit-cum-means Scholarship: Upto Rs.33,000

Eligibility:

  • Applicant should be resident of West Bengal only
  • Applicant should be secured 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous examination
  • Applicant’s annual family income should be below Rs.2 lakh
  • Scheme is applicable only for West Bengal
