To provide an insurance cover to the people belonging to scheduled castes thereby ensuring their well-being

On July 26, 2021, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made an announcement of ‘Dalit Bima’ scheme being planned for all the dalit families in the state. Telangana government is planning this scheme to ensure dalit welfare in the state. After the announcement of Dalit Bandhu scheme for dalit empowerment, this scheme aims at ensuring security and welfare of the people belonging to scheduled castes. Under this scheme state government tends to provide an insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lakhs to all the dalit families in the state. This insurance cover will be provided free of cost to the people. It will enable to maintain good health and well-being of people belonging to scheduled castes thereby ensuring their social welfare.
