The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gahlot has announced the Farm Loan Waiver Scheme (Kisan Karz Mafi Yojana) in the state. Farmer`s loan upto Rs. 2 lakh will be waived off under the scheme. It was a poll promise by the congress party during the assembly elections 2018. Congress won the elections & the CM announced the farm loan waiver. The party president Rahul Gandhi had announced before the elections that if his party comes to the power then the crop loans of the farmers will be waived off in the state.
Short-term crop loans take from cooperative banks upto Rs. 2 lakh as on 30th November 2018 will be waived off under the Farm Loan Waiver Scheme. The will provide much required relief to the state farmers & reduce the burden on them. The Kisan Karj Mafi Yojana will cost the state exchequer Rs. 18000 crores.
Rajasthan Farm Loan Waiver Scheme (Kisan Karz Mafi Yojana) Eligibility & Benefits:
- Applicable only to the Rajasthan farmers
- Applicable only on the loans upto Rs. 2 lakh
- Application only for the agricultural / crop loans
- Crop loans upto Rs. 2 lakh taken till 30th November 2018 will be waived off under the scheme
23.5 lakh farmers has taken crop loans in the Rajasthan. They all will benefit from the farm loan waiver.
