The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu introduced high-speed internet project for people of the state named Fiber Grid Project. Under this project, the government has provided high-speed internet at low cost to the households and enterprise use in Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to provide affordable high-speed and low-cost broadband connectivity to the households and workplaces across the state.
The total estimated cost of the project is Rs.333 crore, The total length of aerial fibre to be laid across the State is estimated to be around 22,500 KM. This would comprise State Ring, District Rings, Zonal Rings and Mandal Rings. The government launched various internet plans under this scheme. The government provides 15 MBPS speed internet at Rs. 199 per month and 100 MBPS speed will be provided at just Rs. 999 per month. The state government has tied up with the leading network solutions provider CISCO Company to implement the project and aims to connect more than 1.3 crore households in the Andhra Pradesh. To minimize the cost, Electrical poles will be used to lay overhead fibre net cable instead of underground cable. In this project, high-speed internet and telephone services will be provided at the doorstep
Benefits of Fiber Grid Project:
- High-speed broadband internet on cheap rate

- Each connection will get 100 free-to-air TV channels and telephone facility within the same cable network
- 10,000 government offices, 60,000 schools and 6,580 primary health centres benefit from this project

- Then click on request for connection http://apsfl.in/connection-request-form/
- Now, choose the type of connection Household Connection or Enterprise Connection
- Fill the essential details such as name, contact no, email id etc
- After, choose the package of internet as per your requirement
- Basic package for households connection is available at Rs.149 and for Enterprise at Rs. 999/-
- Now, submit connection request
