Financial Assistance to Long Term Project in the Field of Art & Culture is a scheme designed and started by state Government of Goa (Directorate of Art and Culture) for financial support to the institution or individual in the field of art and culture.

Under this scheme, the government provides financial support to the institution/individual involved in long-term projects in the field of Art and Culture. The objectives of the scheme are to develop the cultural environment in the State of Goa, to provide financial support to the institution/individual involved in the long-term projects in the field of Art and Culture, to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Goa. In this scheme, the eligible institution/individual will be entitled to the grant to the extent of 80% of total expenditure involved subject to the maximum ceiling of Rs. 5.00 lakhs per annum. Goa is rich in cultural and ethnic diversity and this kind of awards will encourage Goans to save the local art and culture during the period of modernization. The main aim of this scheme is to promote and encourage institutions or individuals for long-term projects in the field of Art & Culture

Benefits of Financial Assistance to Long Term Project:

  • Benefits of financial assistance to the institution or individual working in the field of art and culture
  • Benefits of 80% of total expenditure and the maximum amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs per annum

Eligibility for Financial Assistance to Long Term Project:

  1. For Institutions:
  • Any institution registered under Society’s Registration Act, 1860 or under Indian Trust Act are eligible for benefits under this Scheme
  • The institution must be involved in long-term project in the field of Art & Culture
  1. For Individuals:
  • Any individual from the Goan community, who is a resident of Goa for 15 years or more are eligible for benefits under this Scheme
  • The individual must be involved in long-term project in the field of Art & Culture and should have contributed at least 15 years in the relevant field

Documents required for Financial Assistance to Long Term Project:

  1. For Institutions:
  • A copy of Constitution/Bye-laws/Rules and Regulations
  • Registration Certificate
  • Audited statement of accounts of last 3 years duly signed by the Chartered Accountant
  • Detailed project report of that particular long-term project for which financial support is asked under this Scheme
  • Any other relevant documents
  1. For Individuals:
  • A copy of Residence Certificate of 15 years or more in Goa
  • Detailed report of the contribution for the last 15 years to the relevant field of Art & Culture
  • Detailed project report of that particular long-term project for which financial support is asked under this Scheme
  • Any other relevant documents

How to apply for Financial Assistance to Long Term Project:

  1. The institution or individual should apply in writing along with all the necessary documents and submit it the Directorate of Art and Culture office in Goa
  2. Government of Goa constituted a subcommittee for the purpose of this scheme
  3. Subcommittee consider the applications received under this scheme
  4. The Sub-Committee will give its recommendations with the names of the institutions or individual approved by the committee to avail grant under this scheme
  5. Once the recommendations are received from Sub-Committee, then Director of Art & Culture will give approval & disburse the amount to the eligible institution/individual in the form of cheque
