The Financial Incentives to Mothers Who Deliver A Girl Child Scheme is started by the government of Goa department of women and child development. The main objective of this scheme is to provide the financial incentive to a mother who delivers A Girl Child in the state of Goa irrespective of their social/economic status. The Goa government provides Rs. 5000 to 25,000 for mothers who delivered girl child. The scheme will be provided under 5 different stages of life like at birth, on full immunization, on completion of SSC, on completion of HSSC and on completion of a college degree. Financial Incentives to Mothers Who Deliver A Girl Child Scheme:
- Under the scheme, the applicant gets the benefits of Rs. 5,000 to 25,000 in an installment
- If the applicant applies within 45 days from the day of delivery of the mother, then the government will provide 1st installment of Rs. 5,000
- The government provides 2nd installments of Rs. 5, 000 after completion of basic immunization
- The 3rd installment of Rs. 5000 will be released after completing of secondary education
- The 4th installment of Rs 5000 will be provided after completing higher secondary education and last installment of Rs. 5000 after completing degree education
Eligibility for Financial Incentives to Mothers Who Deliver A Girl Child Scheme:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Goa from the last fifteen years
- The scheme is for everyone it doesn’t matter applicant is poor or rich
Application procedure for Financial Incentives to Mothers Who Deliver A Girl Child Scheme:
- The eligible mother who delivers the girl child can apply to the girl child development office through local Anganwadi centers along with the copy of all documents, including Birth certificate, form within 45 days of the delivery of girl child
Documents required for applying Financial Incentives to Mothers Who Deliver A Girl Child Scheme:
- Residential/domicile certificate of applicant (Ration card, Election photo identity card)
- Bank details (Savings bank passbook with IFSC and MICR details)
- 5 years residential proof
- Birth certificate of child
- Prescribed form of application
