Ghar Ghar Rojgar Yojana

Punjab government started Ghar Ghar Rojgar Yojana for providing job opportunities for the youth across Punjab. This scheme was launched by CMO Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh. It is an employment scheme run by Finance and Employment Generation Ministry I Punjab to provide opportunities to the unemployed youth across the state and thereby enabling their welfare.

Scheme Overview:

Scheme Objectives:

• The main objective of the scheme is to provide employment opportunities through a single portal
• The scheme aims to build a strong employment mechanism across the state
• It also aims at increasing employ ability and bridging the gaps between employer and employees

Scheme Benefits:

• This scheme will provide numerous employment opportunities and that too with a simple registration an application process
• The employment portal is user friendly, the application process is also easy
• This scheme will help the unemployed youth of Punjab to get new opportunities and enhance their well-being.
• It will help in the economic development of the state in the long run.
• It aims to reduce the unemployment rates across the state

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates registering on the portal and applying thereby should be the residents of Punjab state only
• The candidate should have a valid identity proof.

How to Apply:

• For registering and applying under Ghar Ghar Rojgar Yojana, Punjab, the applicant should visit the official website @ pgrkam.com

• Click on Register Free tab on the right side of the home page.

For Job-seeker Candidates:

• Select the Job seeker option from the drop down option.

• On the page, fill in the details like Full name, gender, email id, mobile no.,education level, etc
• Tick the checkbox for agreeing the terms and conditions on the portal and click on submit.
• Create a password and confirm the same.
• After successful registration, login from the home page.
• Candidate can either login through OTP method or through the password method. Mobile no. in both the cases is mandatory. No. should be the one used while registering.

• After logging in, Create a profile and then start applying for various positions applicable
• Candidate can track the application status and carry out the further process as required.

For Employer:

• Select the employer option form the drop down and give in the organisation/ company details like, state and district operating in, PAN no., website of the company etc., enter mobile no. and Tuck the checkbox for agreeing the terms and conditions on the portal and click on submit.

• Create a password and confirm the same.
• After successful registration, login from the home page.
• Company can either login through OTP method or through the password method. Mobile no. in both the cases is mandatory. No. should be the one used while registering.
• Companies will be able to check the applications received and select the appropriate one as per requirement
• Then, they can approach the candidate an go ahead with the further process.

• Copy of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc
• Educational Certificates
• Address proof
• Passport size photo

Key Points:

• The main aim of the scheme is to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth across the state on a portal
• No application fees are charged from the Candidates for registering/ applying to various jobs on the portal
• Applicants will be given notifications of various new job openings, which will assist them to know about the opportunities and grab the same.
• To make things easier, timely Job fairs are also conducted on selected and pre announced dates
• Applicants from all streams are included in and will be able to apply on the portal
• Vocational training and skill development seminars are provided through the portal, training sessions and skill development courses are also available on the portal for overall improvement of the candidate.
• Currently the department is organizing a Webinar on ‘Emerging Dynamics in Employment of Youth post Covid – 19: Challenges and Opportunities’ to create awareness among the youth on changing scenario of employment sector.
• The webinar is to be held on July 24, 2020 at 3 pm
• About 25,000 students / professionals across the state from various professional backgrounds are expected to attend the webinar. Also, companies like Microsoft, Walmart, PepsiCo, Dell and Amazon would also be attending the webinar.
