Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an important gift to the countrymen. Yes, the Prime Minister has launched the ‘Jan Samarth Portal’ for credit-linked government schemes. This portal will make available different schemes on a single platform. It is a digital portal bringing together government credit schemes. It will be a first of its kind portal which will connect loan aspirants with lenders. PM inaugurated Iconic Week celebrations of Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The ministry is organizing this event from June 6 to 11 under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The main objective of Jan Samarth Portal is to bring all the schemes on one platform and give its benefits to the citizens. Along with this, access to all the schemes has to be made easier and simpler through digital means. This portal ensures coverage of all linked schemes. 13 schemes of the central government in 4 loan categories will be available on the Jan Samarth portal. The special thing is that more than 125 lenders are available on this platform.
Enumerating the merits of the PM portal, he said that now the youth will be able to easily decide whether they want a Mudra loan or a Startup India loan. Youth, and middle class have got a big platform of end-to-end delivery through Jan Samarth portal. When there will be ease in taking loans, there will be minimum procedures, then it is natural that more and more people will come forward to take loans. The PM said that this portal is going to play an important role in increasing self-employment and taking the schemes of the government to all the beneficiaries. He said that I urge all the veterans of the banking sector that all the banks should increase their participation to make the Jan Samarth portal a success and to make it easier for the youth to get loans. He said that if there is any reform, if its goal is clear, if there is seriousness about its implementation, then it is sure to bring good results.
There are 3 schemes available for education loan where you can apply as per your requirement and eligibility. There are also 3 schemes for Agri Infrastructure Loan. 6 schemes are available for business activity loan, scheme for livelihood loan. The method of applying is also very simple. First you check your eligibility, apply online, view offers and get digital approval from the selected bank. You can also see the status of your application real-time.
Government agencies like NSDL, Income Tax, UIDAI etc. will also be linked on this portal. This will make it much easier to digitally verify the data and reduce the hassle for the lenders.
