West Bengal government is planning to launch a new scheme for Kharif Paddy procurement from the farmers. Food and Supplies Minister, Jyotipriya Mallick announced some of the scheme details. This procurement will be made by the government for the public distribution system in the state. It will enable the farmers to sell their rice in quintals to the government.
