Maharashtra Government launches Maha DBT portal to provide the farmers in the state with one single online application for all the agriculture schemes

On July 7, 2020, CMO Maharashtra- Honorable Uddhav Thackeray launched a new portal for providing a platform to the farmers, where they can get the benefits of all the agriculture schemes with one single application online. On this portal the farmers can currently get the benefits of 11 different agriculture schemes. This portal was announced on June 20, 2019 when it was in the developing stage, and is now finally launched on July 7, 2020. This portal aims at providing relief to the farmers as they can now apply for various schemes online while being at home.

Objectives:

  • To provide the farmers with a platform where they can apply for various schemes with one single online application

  • To help more and more farmers to directly get the government scheme benefits
  • It also aims to boost the agricultural production.

Schemes available on the portal:

Currently there are 11 agriculture schemes available on the portal: 

  • To check which schemes are available, one needs to visit the portal mahadbtmahait.gov.in
  • On the homepage, the ‘Farmer schemes’ tab is available under ‘Click on the below links to proceed’ on the right side. Click on the tab and you can find the list

How to Register on the Portal:

  • For registration, the farmers just have to visit the official Maha DBT Portal @ mahadbtmahait.gov.in, home page of the portal is as below:

  • On the homepage, the ‘Farmer schemes’ tab is available under ‘Click on the below links to proceed’ on the right side. Click on the tab and you can find the list of schemes currently available.
  • On the same page, for first time registration, click on the New Applicant Registration tab.

  • Then fill your name, create a username with more than 4 and less than 15 alphabets. Create a strong password and confirm the same.
  • A valid mobile no. and Email Id is to be filled in and it has to verified via OTPPs received on the same
  • Then, the captcha given below is to be entered and then click on Register.
  • After successful registration, you can Login on the previous page by clicking on the ‘Applicant Login’ tab

There are 2 options available for Login:

  1. User ID (Username and Password created while registration)

  1. Through Aadhaar Card no. and OTP/Biometric verification

  • The applicant must ensure, the mobile no. used in the process is linked with Aadhaar card.
  • There are options available to recover the account in case of ‘Forgot Password’ or ‘Forgot Username’ situations.
  • A separate user manual for farmers is available on the same page.
  • In case of any complaints or suggestions, applicant is required to click on the ‘Grievances/Suggestions’ tab on the login page.
