Maharashtra government is about to launch a new scheme named ‘Mahasamruddhi Mahila Sashaktikaran’ for empowerment of rural women in the state. This scheme will be launched by the government on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021. Scheme details were announced by Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Hasan Mushrif. This scheme will promote listing the names of wives alongside their husbands on the 7/12 extract. 7/12 extract is a registered land record of ownership of an individual/ family. These records are registered in the state’s revenue department. Various exhibitions and workshops will be conducted for showcasing the work of the beneficiary rural women. Market place will be provided to them for promoting and selling their products. This scheme focuses on women empowerment and increased standard of living.
