Mahila Vikas Nigam Loan Scheme for Women launched by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide self-employment to the women by providing the loan at subsidized interest rates. This scheme provides financial assistance to women to be self-employed. Under this scheme loan is provided to establishing income generation activities, to study in selected courses. Along with loan to start business vocational training is also provided to the beneficiary women. All women residents of Himachal Pradesh and wishes to set up the business can apply to the scheme. Benefits of Mahila Vikas Nigam Loan Scheme for Women:
- A scheme provides financial assistance to women entrepreneurs, women co-operatives, and women organizations to set up self-employment
- Scheme provides interest-free loan up to Rs. 3000
- Scheme provides loan Rs. 20,000 at 5% interest rate
- Scheme provides loan over Rs. 20,000 at 7% interest
- The scheme provides the interest-free loan for study in selected courses up to Rs. 75000
- Scheme provides training program for women

- Women residence of Himachal Pradesh
- Women who have completed 18 years of age and their family income is less than Rs. 50000 annually
