Mission Shat Pratishat, Punjab

Government of Punjab has come up with ‘Mission Shat Pratishat’ for the academic year 2020-21. This launch and inauguration of the mission was done virtually by CMO Punjab, Amarinder Singh on November 7, 2020. This initiative mainly aims at achieving 100% results in schools across the state. In the virtual event CM launched 1467 smart schools in the state and distributed 2625 tablets to primary level students from government schools. This mission aims at holistic development of government schools across the state.

• The main objective of the mission is holistic development of schools and students across the state
• This mission aims at development of infrastructure and increased use of digital infrastructure through e-Books, EDUSAT lectures, e-Content and online classes
• Broadcast of lectures prepared by teachers is also made through TV and video lectures
• Projectors will be provided to the schools
• Under this mission 1467 smart schools are inaugurated
• Huge bunch of vacancies are announced for pre primary teachers
• About 2625 tablets are distributed to primary school students
• Online transfer of teachers has been introduced
• Development of schools will in return lead to development of students studying thereby
• Students studying in such schools will get better opportunities to learn and succeed
• This will encourage the schools to improve their performance

• Mission Shat Pratishat for the year 2020-21, is launched by Punjab government on November 7, 2020
• This launch was inaugurated by CM Amarinder Singh
• The main aim of the scheme is holistic development of schools and school students in the state

• About 1467 smart schools are inaugurated in the state
• 2626 tablets are distributed by the CM to primary government school students

• About 8393 posts are soon to be filled by the education department
• Keeping the Covid-19 situations around, strengthened digital infrastructure is given core importance under this mission
• E-books, EDUSAT lectures, e-content, online classes, broadcast of lectures on TV are some of the measures
• Online transfer of teachers is introduced
• In the virtual event CM along with education Minister Vijay Inder Singla and other dignitaries connected with teachers, students and parents from more than 4000 schools
• For digitization of schools an estimated budget of Rs. 100 Cr. is sanctioned
• The mission encourages improved performance and raised education standard in the state in the long run
