The Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani started by Assam state government (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare). The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide financial assistance to patients of diseases like Kidney problem, Cancer, Heart disease, Major bone fracture etc. and accident cases. Under this scheme, the beneficiary would get enough financial assistance to get better treatment. The government of Assam has decided to continue the implementation of Mukhya Mantri Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani on 25th August 2006, and Social Welfare Department was entrusted to implement this Achani which covers all resident of Assam of the age group 03-80 years. All Assam citizen can take benefits of this scheme just need to qualify some eligibility norms which are mentioned in detail in below article

Benefits of Mukhya Mantri Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani:

  • Mukhya Mantri Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani provides benefits in the form of financial assistance for treatment in accidental case and for treatment of Cancer, Heart Disease, Major bone fracture
  • Amount of financial benefits not specified but maybe 100% financial assistance is provided for Kidney problem, Cancer, Heart disease, Major bone fracture etc. and accident cases

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani:

  1. Candidate must be permanent residents of Assam state
  2. Candidates family or self-income should be more than Rs. 2 lakh
  3. Candidate of age 03 to 80 years are eligible to get benefits under this scheme
  4. Candidate only gets benefited either at the time of the accident or for treatment of Cancer, Heart Diseases etc.

Document required for applying Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Jyoti Bima Achani:

  1. Permanent residence proof e.g. certificate from residence authority
  2. Aadhar card
  3. Income certificate less than Rs. 2 lakh
  4. Age proof e.g. voter ID, school board certificate, passport, birth certificate

Application procedure:

  1. Candidate can collect application form from the authorities mentioned below
  2. Revenue Circle Offices, Block Development Offices, Zillah Parishad, Anchalik Panchayat and Gaon Panchayat Offices
  3. Candidate can submit it to Revenue Circle Offices, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO)
