New Swarnima Special Scheme for OBC Women

New Swarnima Special Scheme for OBC Women is the scheme by Government of India initiated to empower women from backward classes. Under the scheme women are given loan to make their financial conditions strong by finding some source of employment in the form of any small scale business. The motive is to encourage the self-employment among the women community. The loan is given at very less rate of interest and at very easy steps followed.

Benefits of New Swarnima Special Scheme for OBC Women:

  • Loan of up to Rs. 50, 000: Women under the scheme are given loan of up to Rs. 50,000
  • Low rate of interest: The scheme provides the loan at 4% rate of interest
  • No investment on personal level: Women do not need to invest from her side at any project. Complete funding is from government’s side
  • Increase self-employment: Due to such benefits there will be rise in self-employment rate.
  • Rural development: Basically the backbone of rural economy is farming which faces many problems and there is no guarantee about profits from that, but the other self-employment sources will make rural area prosperous

Eligibility for New Swarnima Special Scheme for OBC Women:

  1. Women should belong to below poverty line
  2. Women must be from OBC category
  3. Family annual income should not be more than Rs. 1, 20,000 in urban area and Rs. 98, 000 in rural areas

Documents Required:

  1. Caste Certificate
  2. Aadhar Card
  3. BPL card
  4. Electricity bill
  5. Family’s annual income certificate
  6. Bank pass book having (bank name, branch name, account holder name, IFSC & MICR code)

Application forms are available at State Channelising Agencies (SCA) office situated at his/her local residence.
