Why do we need to issue Driving License Duplicate?
When you lost or misplace driving license, you are required to issue a duplicate of it. As we know the driving license is the official document which authorizes its holder to operate various types of motor vehicle on highways and some other roads to which the public have access. It also used to obtain other legal documents like voter ID card, domicile certificate, passport and many other documents. It is important to get driving license duplicate once you lost it
Document required for applying Driving License Duplicate:
- FIR should be lodged in case of loss of license, Police Report in case of loss of license
- PAN card is compulsory
- Driving License Number
- Issuing Date of license
- Reason For Applying Duplicate License
- Note: Police Report in case of loss of license should less than 500kb for upload
Required eligibility for application:
- A person whose license is lost or destroyed or other reason
- A person who has completed 18 years of age can get a license for M/cycle and Light Motor Vehicles
- A person who has completed 20 years of age can get a license to drive professional and Light Transport Vehicles such as M/Cycles, Taxis, Auto rickshaws, P/Ups, etc.
- A person who has completed 16 years of age but below 18 years of age can get a license for M/cycles not exceeding 50c.c.
- Applicants must have a Learner’s license before applying for a permanent driving license
Online application procedure:
- Applicant should visit official website mentioned next for filling online application form https://egov.goa.nic.in/niceservices/RTO/Duplicate_DL.aspx . Next window will appear which will look this posted below
- First, fill online application form with relevant information
- Once you have filled in all the relevant details, upload the documents required and submit the form. You will have to carry the originals when you visit the RTO
- Once you have submitted your application form and received a notification regarding application you have done
- The applicant is requested to retain the Application Reference Number that shall be provided on successful submission of the application. The status of the same shall be made available through SMS/Email
- Then you will be issued with a Duplicate Driving License, which will be sent by post to the address mentioned in the application form

- For duplicate driving license: Not more than Rs. 70
