Central government has lunched a scheme “PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME)”. This scheme is for 8 lakh small businesses which provides information, training, better exposure and formalization. 9 lakh skilled and semi skilled workers can get employment through the scheme. Government has announced the total budget of the scheme is Rs 35,000 crore. This scheme will be implemented with in five years from 2021 to 2025 under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”.
