Rajiv Thali Yojana in Himachal Pradesh

To provide affordable, hygienic and nutritious food for poor people, tourist, and residential citizen, the State Government of Himachal Pradesh has started Rajiv Thali Yojana in the state. Now, the government provides healthy food to the poor people and tourist at really lower cost. The food contains two chapattis, sabzi, a bowl of dal and rice and for that, the government has also plan to distribute food in all bus stand in the Himachal state. So, the tourist also can get benefits of this scheme. Other hotels and dhabas can charge much more amount for food from tourist. Behind this reason, Transport Minister of Himachal Pradesh GS Bali has got an idea to start Rajiv Thali Yojana. Under this scheme, unemployed people and cooperative societies also run canteens to earn money. If any person will sell 500 Thalis of food in a day then the person will save Rs. 2 per Thali with daily minimum income of Rs. 1,000. Along with the food, the government also provides drinking water packages to the customers at Rs. 5 on the non-profit basis. The main objective of this scheme is to provide affordable, hygienic and nutritious food to poor. The price of the food is increasing day by day and under such circumstances, the condition of the poor people has become even worse since they do not have enough money to purchase or sometimes they cannot get nutritional food on a day to day life. Tourist also suffers a lot due to expensive restaurant and dhabas in tourist places. Regarding this, the government of Himachal Pradesh has taken very good initiative for distributing food at really low rate
