Reimbursement of Tuition Fees for SC/ST/OBC/MIN students is the initiative by Delhi Government to provide better education to the minority students. There are many out there who are not enough strong financially to support their education. To endorse such candidates Delhi govt. came with these scheme. Under the scheme certain eligibility criteria are set and whoever satisfies those conditions is eligible for the reimbursement of the tuition fees.
Benefits of Reimbursement of Tuition Fees for SC/ST/OBC/MIN Student:
- No merit basis selection from 1st till 5th standard: Student studying in 1st standard to 5th standard get full tuition fees waiver along with other compulsory fees regardless of marks
- Performance based decision after 5th standard: Student who is in 6th standard and above till 12th standard will get his/her fees reimbursed only if he/she scores more than 50% of marks in final exam and has 80% plus attendance. This not only bring competitiveness but also enhance their performance
Eligibility for Reimbursement of Tuition Fees for SC/ST/OBC/MIN Student:
- Applicant should be from SC/ST/OBC/Minority category
- Applicant should be resident of Delhi, living in Delhi for last three years
- Student whose family annual income is below Rs. 60,000 is eligible for 100% reimbursement of fees
- Student whose family annual income is more than Rs. 60, 000 and below Rs. 2, 00, 000 is eligible for 75% of fee reimbursement
- Bank account should be in the name of student (joint account are allowed)
- Repeaters in particular class are not eligible for the scheme
Documents Required:
- Complete application form
- Resident proof (EPIC card, Aadhar Number, Ration Card, Landline telephone bill by MTNL, Driving License issued by GNCTD, Domicile certificate issued by SDM or Bank passbook of Nationalize banks)
- Attested copy of Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in student’s/father’s name issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner
- In case of minority student, declaration by parent/guardian on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10)
- Salary slip in case parent/guardian is govt. employee and Income certificate by SDM of Delhi in case parent/guardian is self-employed or working in private sector
- Original fee receipt
- Previous year mark sheets (only for students in std. 6th to 12th )
- Non-creamy layer certificate
- Aadhar card
