Rewa Scheme, Ladakh

On June 4, 2021, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Mr. RK Mathur virtually launched Rewa Scheme for meritorious students in the union territory to get coaching facility for various competitive examinations. Under this scheme financial assistance up to Rs. 1 lakh will be provided to the meritorious students of class 10^th and 12^th intending to appear for NEET, JEE, UG CLAT and NDA exams. This scheme will be applicable to examinations conducted on or after October 1, 2021. Under this scheme students clearing prelims exams of civil and other exams will also be given financial assistance. It aims at assisting the students to prepare well for the exams and qualify them to fulfil their future dreams. It aims at encouraging more students to opt for higher studies and appear for various competitive examinations exams.

• The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the class 10^th and 12^th students in the state who are wishing to prepare for exams like NEET, JEE, UG CLAT and NDA
• The scheme will enable the students to pursue higher education to prepare them for competitive examinations
• It will provide help to the students to study irrespective of financial constraints and difficulties
• Financial assistance up to Rs. 1 lakh as coaching fee reimbursement for class 10^th and 12^th students studying for competitive exams
• Students clearing Prelims of civil services exams, IES and IFS exams will be given a financial assistance of Rs. 1.54 lakhs
• This initiative will encourage the students to pursue higher studies and crack the examination
• It will help many students to get quality education through physical as well as virtual mode

• Rewa scheme is launched by LG Governor, Ladakh RK Mathur for the meritorious students from class 10^th and 12^th for availing coaching facility for attempting various competitive exams like NEET, JEE, UG CLAT and NDA
• This scheme was launched virtually on June 4, 2021
• Under this scheme a financial assistance up to Rs. 1 lakh will be provided to the students as coaching fee reimbursement for residential coaching institute
• In case of students availing coaching outside Ladakh, a financial assistance up to Rs. 64,000/- will be provided to the students as coaching fee reimbursement along with Rs. 36,000 for expenditure on boarding/ lodging (at the rate of Rs. 3,000/- per month)
• Under this scheme 60 students from Ladakh will be selected based on marks/ merit secured in class 10 exam
• 70 students from Ladakh will be selected based on marks/ merit secured in class 12 exam
• Separate merit list will be prepared for both the classes
• Students clearing Prelims of civil services exams, IFS and IES exams will be given a financial assistance of Rs. 1.54 lakhs. This will include coaching fee reimbursement of Rs. 1 lakh and expenditure on boarding/ lodging up to Rs. 54,000/- (at the rate of Rs. 3,000/- per month for 18 months)
• Applications will be invited after the results are declared
• This scheme will be eligible for students till 2 years after the result is declared
• It will enable the students to study for higher education irrespective of financial difficulties
• This scheme will enable the students to get the coaching for competitive exams and achieve new heights in their career.
