- Scheme of Scholarship for Sainik Schools in Meghalaya provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to those students who are pursuing an education in Sainik School Meghalaya. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below as per the parental monthly income
- If parents have monthly income below Rs. 5,000 per month then the student is eligible for full scholarship Rs. 20,000 per annum
- If Parents have a monthly income between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000 per month then the student is eligible for half scholarship Rs. 10,000 per month
- If parents have monthly income more than Rs. 8,000 per month then the student is not entitled to scholarship w.e.f. 2002-03
Required eligibility and conditions for applying Scheme of Scholarship for Sainik Schools in Meghalaya:
- Student’s parents must be permanent residents of Meghalaya
- Student’s parental income must remain between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000 per month
- Students must be able to get admission in Sainik School
- Student must be physically fit

- Birth certificate of candidate

- Caste certificate

Reservation:
- 7% of seats are reserved for S.T. candidates
- 15% for S.C. candidates
- 25% for children of service personnel including Ex-Servicemen
