Scholarship Scheme for Students Seeking Education Outside Goa in Art & Culture is a scheme launched by state Government of Goa (Department of Art and Culture). Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance for those students who are seeking education outside Goa or India in the field of Art and Culture.
The main objectives of the scheme is to encourage and give opportunity to the young talents in the State to excel their talent to reach the highest possible standard/merit under the guidance of a renowned teachers/artists outside the State and to give financial support to the students seeking to get basic or advanced education/training in any field of Art and Culture with the help of scholarships.
The Government of Goa has specially designed this scheme in order to provide scholarships to Goan students seeking education in any field of Art & Culture outside Goa. Any student in Goa who intends to seek advanced education in any field of Art and Culture like music, dance, theatre, fine art, folk art, photography, fields of visual and performing art etc. outside Goa or India will be eligible to get the scholarship in this particular scheme. In this scheme, the government will provide scholarship maximum up to Rs. 1,20,000/- for acquiring education outside Goa and Rs. 3,00,000/- for acquiring education outside India. This scheme helps young talented artists in Goa to seek higher education in the field of art and culture to pursue their dreams

Eligibility criteria for scholarship scheme:
- Applicant must be the resident of Goa state
- Any student in Goa who intend to seek advanced education in any field of Art and Culture like music, dance, theatre, fine art, folk art, photography, fields of visual and performing art etc. outside Goa or India are eligible for scholarship
- Applicant should be below or up to 35 years old
- Annual family income of the applicant should not cross the limit fixed by the Government time to time
Documents required for scholarship scheme:
- Passport size photograph
- Aadhaar card
- Birth certificate
- School leaving certificate as age proof
- Residence certificate of the applicant
- Annual family income certificate
- Detailed report of participation in local competitions for seeking basic training (if any)
- Detailed report of the basic training for seeking advanced training
- Recommendation of any person or Institution working in the field of Art & Culture who will be able to identify the applicant as deserving candidate for the scholarship
How to apply for the scholarship:
- The Department of Art and Culture will release advertisement/press notes in the daily local newspaper in Goa
- Thereafter, State Government of Goa invite applications for the scholarship
- Student have to contact department of art and culture in Goa
