TIFAC Women Scientist Scholarship

The TIFAC (Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council) Women Scientist Scholarship. (TIFAC) functions under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India with a lot of perfection. This particular council offers Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme for women having Science/Medicine/Engineering or allied areas qualifications. This scholarship is offered for a period of just one year. Government is interested in retaining the scientific talent of Indian women seeking scientific pursuits and keen to encourage women to work from their homes and enabling them to draw a good balance between professional and domestic demands. The selection of the candidates is done by an all India level written test followed by a rigorous interview.  Under this scheme, selected candidates will be given stipend for one year

Benefits of TIFAC Women Scientist Scholarship:

  • TIFAC Women Scientist Scholarship provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to meritorious students. Rates of financial assistance mentioned below
  • For a period of one year and the amount of scholarship will be Rs. 17,500 per month for PhD/ M.Tech/ M.Pharma/ M.VSc/ MS/ MD or equivalent
  • Rs. 12,500 per month for candidates having M.Sc/ B.Tech/ MBBS/ B.Pharm or equivalent qualification

Required eligibility and conditions for applying for TIFAC Women Scientist Scholarship:

  1. Applicant candidate must be citizen of India
  2. The applicants must have passed Ph.D/ M.Tech/ M.Pharma/ M.VSc/ MS/ MD/ M.Sc/ B.Tech/ MBBS/ B.Pharm or equivalent qualification with good percentage of marks
  3. A candidate should not be more than 50 years of age on the date of advertisement
  4. Scholarship is provided only for year
  5. Application fee is not required
