Government of India has launched Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) for women & child safety. ERSS website www.112.gov.in, PAN India single number 112 & 112 India Mobile App is launched to help citizens in case of emergency. Citizens of India now one can just use any of the above to report emergency related to police, fire, rescue & health. Government has setup Emergency Response Centres (ERC). Whenever an emergency is reported the request goes to the ERC which then acts on the request.
How to report emergency to 112 ERSS?
There are several ways to report emergencies to the ERSS. Citizens can use website or email or make a phone call or even use the 112 mobile app.

The initiative is implemented under the Nirbhaya Fund. The 112 India Mobile App has SHOUT feature. The feature sends alerts to the nearby volunteers for immediate assistance.
