Artizen to Technocrat Scheme for

Artizen to Technocrat scheme is to provide the opportunity to Artisans from the unorganized and informal sector for certification of their skill level by skill testing. The scheme is to introduce vocational diploma & degree Education for Artisans so as to develop them up to Technocrat level. Artizen to technocrat provide the opportunity for vertical mobility i.e. vocational diploma & degree Education. In the Maharashtra state, there are presently in 52 Govt. ITI skills testing is available, in 20 Govt. ITI Vocational Diploma is running, in 13 different Vocational Trades. Vocational Diploma is awarded by MSBTE Mumbai. Under this particular scheme, there is the number of skill is generated for employment.  In the unorganized sector, large no. of skilled persons are working but they don’t have the certificate of skills. The skill-testing scheme is initially started for Mason, Plumber & Carpenter from the year 2005.Now Skill Testing is done in 13 different trades in 52 Govt. ITI’s in Maharashtra State. There are Six skill levels are defined i.e. Artisan, Senior Artisan, Craftsman, Master Craftsman, Technician & Technocrat. The Skill testing centers are developed in it is the Institute for the training of the candidate. The Selected Instructors are trained as Skill Assessor. The Skill test is conducted every month.  The three dates are fixed for the training of the candidate such as   27th 28th & 29th are the fixed dates for skill testing. After successfully completion of course, the certification is provided by Local Industrial Association & directorate of vocational education and training Maharashtra state

Skill Level for Artizen to Technocrat Scheme:

1. Level – I (Artizen)- 1st Level skill Testing for unqualified worker
2. Level- II ( Senior Artizen) – 2nd Level skill Testing for 1st Level Passed Candidate
3. Level – III (Craftsmen) – SCVT Exam. For 2nd Level Passed Candidate
4. Level – IV ( master Craftsmen)NCVT Examination
5. Level – V( Technician) Vocational Diploma for 3rd level & 4th Level Passed Candidate
6. Level – VI Vocational Degree for Diploma Passed Candidate
