Ashram Schools is started by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh for tribal students who live in remote areas of the State where basic education facilities are not available. In such condition, the government provides basic education facilities for primary and middle-level students in the residential Ashram Schools. The scholarship also provides to the scheduled tribe boys & girls for up to 100 months, who have got the admission in such Ashram Schools. The main purpose of the scheme is to avoid the gap in the education of children’s and to protect their educational career. In a developing country like India, there is a great divide seems between the rich and the poor. The need for tribal development in India is very important because of their primitive way of life, economic and social backwardness, low level of literacy etc. Education is the most effective medium for ensuring equality of opportunity. Regarding this, Madhya Pradesh government has taken several efforts towards tribal students education by extending special educational facilities and started ashram schools
Benefits of Ashram Schools for Tribal Students:
- Benefits of ashram schools along with the academic educational facility, free lodging, and boarding
- Scholarship of Rs. 500/- per month to the Boys and Rs. 525/- per month to the Girls for up to ten months, who have got the admission in Ashram Schools
Eligibility for Ashram Schools for Tribal Students:
- Applicant should be resident of Madhya Pradesh state
- Scheduled tribes Boys/Girls are eligible to take admission in Ashram Schools
Documents for Ashram Schools for Tribal Students:
- Aadhaar card
- Caste certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Passport size photos
How to apply for Ashram Schools for Tribal Students:
- For admission, application forms can be obtained from Ashram Superintendent
- Applicant should fill the form and attach all essential documents
- Submit the form to the Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Welfare Department
- Orders can be issued by the Collector on the recommendations of Admission Committee
