Uttar Pradesh government came up with ‘CM Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme’ last year for the farmers across the state. This is an insurance scheme against accidents faced by the farmers in the state. In case of death/ disability of the farmer the family faces difficult times, thus this scheme will provide financial and social security to the farmer and his family in case of any unprecedented events. The state government will provide Rs. 5 lakhs in case of death of the farmer and Rs. 2 lakhs in case of disability of the farmer. All the farmers in the age group of 18-70 will be covered under this scheme.
