Employment Generation Subsidy Scheme

To generate new employment opportunities for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers in the state

On August 4, 2021 the Haryana state government announced ‘Employment Generation Subsidy Scheme’ with the aim of generating new employment opportunities for the skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers in the state. This scheme was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala. Under this scheme the state government will give incentives to the industrial units giving employment to skilled, semi-skilled as well as unskilled workers of Haryana. Higher incentives will be given to the industrial units hiring SC category workers and women workers of the state. All the units from thrust sector, import substitution sector, bioenergy sector, renewable energy sector, FPO, data centres, etc will be covered as eligible for benefits under the scheme. Benefit/ incentive amount and period will be fixed by Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board.

Objectives & Benefits:

  • To provide job opportunities to the skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers in Haryana
  • Under this scheme incentives will be provided to the industrial units for hiring skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers from Haryana
  • The industrial units will get Rs. 36,000 per person per year for hiring SC category and women workers of Haryana
  • In case of thrust sector, import substitution sector, essential sector, renewable energy enterprises, data centres and co-location facility (MSMEs, large and mega projects) will get Rs. 48,000 per person per year for hiring Sc category and women workers of Haryana
  • Industrial units in B, C, D blocks will get Rs. 30,000 per person per year for hiring general category candidates
  • This scheme aims at capacity building of the workers
  • It will tend to enhance livelihood security by providing job security to the beneficiaries

  • It will also contribute to reviving the unemployment situations due to the pandemic and these employments will also contribute in the development of the overall economic state in the long run.
  • This scheme will be considered in operation from January 1, 2021 wherein all the industrial units which started production from January 1, 2021 or later will be covered.
  • It will be in operation for 5 years.
