Farmer Pension Scheme is launched by the State Government of Uttarakhand (Social Welfare Department) for farmers in the state. The purpose of the scheme is to provide pension benefits to those farmers who have 2 hectares of land (near about 4 acres) and who cultivate their own land for farming. In this scheme, farmers who are above the age of 60 can get pension benefits. India is an agricultural country. Seventy percent of the Indian people are farmers. They are the backbone of the nation. They produce the food crops and the oil-seeds. They produce the commercial crops. They produce some raw materials for our industries. Hence, they are the life-blood of our nation. The farmer earns money by selling his crops and remains happy if the crops are good. But, if farmers cannot get a good amount of rate for crops, then his life becomes miserable. With the intention to help the farmers, Uttarakhand government took very good intuitive for the farmers by providing them pension and make their old age life peaceful and better
Benefits of Farmer Pension Scheme in Uttarakhand:
- Social Welfare Department gives a pension of Rs. 800/- per month to the old age, widow, and disabled farmers
Eligibility for Farmer Pension Scheme in Uttarakhand:
- Applicant should be resident of Uttarakhand
- Farmers who are above 60 years of age and who have 2 hectares of land (near about 4 acres) are eligible for Farmer Pension Scheme
Documents required for Farmer Pension Scheme in Uttarakhand:
- Aadhaar card
- Land record
- Affidavit on stamp paper of Rs 10/- in respect of their land
- Bank account details
- Passport size photos
How to apply for Farmer Pension Scheme in Uttarakhand:
- Applicant should contact Social Welfare Department in Uttarakhand
- Applicant also contact agriculture officer in concerned districts/Taluka
- The state government made arrangements to send the SMS alerts to the beneficiaries for informing them that the money deposited into the farmer’s bank account
