Odisha government has decided to distribute free smartphones to the resident families of Swabhiman Anchal or Cut-off areas of Malkangiri district. This initiative was virtually launched by CMO Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik on November 17, 2020. This initiative is mainly launched for the resident families in the Swabhiman Anchal area which is situated at the border of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Under this, free smartphones will be distributed, which will help the children in the families to learn and study online.

- 3 4G mobile towers are also going to be installed in the area which will enable seamless connectivity
