Green Fodder Development Scheme launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India and implemented by Government of Maharashtra under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. The main objective of this scheme is to provide green fodder for animals in emergency situations. Under this scheme, beneficiary farmer provided seeds for cultivation of green fodder, under the limit of 1500 per hectare. The initiative encourages the farmer to cultivate green fodder for animals which can be used in the emergency situation to do so financial assistance or seeds are provided.
