On November 22, 2020, Hon. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ in Uttar Pradesh. This scheme is launched via video conferencing for 2 districts named – Sonbhadra and Mirzapur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the occasion. This scheme is mainly launched under the Jal Jeevan Mission for resolving the issue of water scarcity. 41 lakh villagers in Sonbhadra and Mirzapur districts will be benefited under this scheme. This scheme will also target to empower the villagers, tribals and poor. Total scheme budget allocated is Rs. 5,555.38 crores.
