Rajasthan government is about to start its much-awaited universal health insurance scheme across the state. On March 27, 2021 CM Ashok Gehlot announced the implementation date of the scheme at a virtual programme of Medical education department. This scheme was initially announced by the CM on in the state budget for 2021-22. Thereby it will begin across the state from May 1, 2021 and registrations for the same will start from April 1, 2021. This scheme tends to cover all the families in the state. It will provide the families in the state with annual medical insurance benefits up to Rs. 5 lakhs by paying Rs. 850 annually. This health insurance coverage will turn out to be boon for all the residents.
