To provide healthcare training to the youths for fulfilling the man power requirement of the health care sector thereby strengthening it

Maharashtra government newly launched ‘Healthcare Skill Scheme’ for providing training to about 20,000 youths in the state. This scheme was launched virtually by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on July 8, 2021. This scheme aims at providing trained youths to the health care sector to fulfill the manpower needs. It is mainly launched in view of the suspected third wave of the pandemic. Under this scheme, training will be imparted through 36 short terms courses in healthcare, nursing and paramedical fields. This training will be provided for a period of 3 months. This scheme will prepare the youths for handling the situations in the hospitals, clinics, etc amidst the covid pandemic. State government is of opinion that along with providing finance for health care infrastructure, it is equally important to manage the human resources available for the same. This scheme tends to fulfill the human resource requirement of the health care sector.
