Hostel Scheme is another big help to the people from backward categories and the people who are from tribal community. There are many people from reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, SBC, Minority, NT and Tribal communities, also people who are working as a sweeper needs help to educate their children, and the scheme is the biggest help by facilities provided under the scheme to their children. There are hostels which are allotted to the student from the above mentioned categories on merit basis, where they are given the facilities like food, daily need materials, apparels, rooms and more. The scheme is active since the year 1952-53 and since then it has served thousands of students from reserved categories. It is the boosting step to the community where students from such categories are getting opportunities to make their future bright by gathering most valuable treasure i.e. knowledge, which will help them in gathering another treasure in the race of life.
Benefits of Hostel Scheme:
- Food facility: The scheme makes sure that no student at the hostel remains hungry, there is breakfast, lunch and dinner all facilities available at the hostel itself
- Uniform: Under the scheme hostel also provide school uniform to the beneficiary
- Daily chores essentials: The scheme also provides hair oil, soap, and grooming facilities at the hostel
- Room essentials: There are free bed sheets, pillows, room, towel and washing facilities all are available
- Free electricity & water: The scheme provides free electricity and water to the student at the hostel
- Free access to reading essentials: There is free access to the reading essentials like newspapers, magazines and books
Eligibility for Hostel Scheme:
- Family’s annual income should not be more than Rs. 1 lakhs
- Student must be from SC/ST/OBC/NT/Minority/Tribal/SBC community
- Merit students first will be selection pattern
- Student from BPL are only permitted for the scheme
- Students who are in class 6th to 12th are only eligible for the scheme

- Residential Proof (electricity bill, water connection bill, gas connection bill, ration card, voter id, Aadhar card, pan card or driving license)
- Aadhar Card
- Caste certificate
- Educational qualification certificates (mark sheets, degrees, diplomas)
- Leaving Certificate
- Ration Card
- Passport size photograph (min 2 copies)
