JIGYASA Programme for Connecting Student & Scientist has launched by the Government of India in New Delhi. The program is implementing with the help of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) & Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The purpose is to connecting school students and scientists so as to extend student’s classroom learning with that of a very well planned research laboratory based learning. The whole program is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a new India and “Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR)” of scientific community and institutions. “JIGYASA” is one of the major initiatives taken up by CSIR at a national level for further widening and deepening its Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR). On the one hand, this program would explain the culture of curiousness and scientific nature on the other. The program will also enable the students and teachers to practically live the theoretical concepts taught in science by visiting CSIR laboratories and by participating in projects. The program is expected to connect 1151 Kendriya Vidyalayas with 38 National Laboratories of CSIR targeting 100,000 students and nearly 1000 teachers annually. CSIR is the largest research and development organization in India and It was established as an autonomous body by Government of India in 1942. The has taken excellent initiative for the school students and their teachers

- JIGYASA Programme for Connecting Student & Scientist has launched by the Government of India in New Delhi
- The MoU is signed between the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) & Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) for implementing this program
