Kashyapa Scheme for Food and Shelter in Andhra Pradesh

The Kashyap Scheme for Food and Shelter in Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation) for the poor Brahmins in Andhra Pradesh. The main objective behind introducing this scheme is helping poor Orphan children, differently abled, Widows and Elderly Brahmins with financial assistance for meeting their Food and Shelter expenses. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 1,000 per month is to be paid to the Orphan children, differently abled, Widows and Elderly (Rs. 3,000 per month if any elderly staying in the Old-Age home). This scheme is applicable for the poor Orphan children, differently abled, Widows and Elderly Brahmins of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts. The scheme is specially introduced for the poor of Andhra Pradesh who are dependent on someone else and can’t afford day to day expenses

Benefits of Kashyapa Scheme for Food and Shelter in Andhra Pradesh:

• Kashyapa Scheme for Food and Shelter in Andhra Pradesh provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to poor Orphan children, differently abled, Widows and Elderly Brahmin’s. Rates of financial assistance are mentioned below
• Orphan children below 14 Years: Rs. 1,000 per month
• Different abled person: Rs. 1,000 per month
• Widow of any age: Rs. 1,000 per month
• Elderly of above 60 Yrs age, staying on his / her own: Rs. 1,000 per month
• Elderly of above 60 Yrs age, staying in any Old-age home in Andhra Pradesh: Rs. 3,000 per month
• Amount will be directly transferred to candidates account

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Kashyapa Scheme for Food and Shelter in Andhra Pradesh:

1. The candidate must belong to Brahmin community
2. Candidate and his/her parents must be permanent residence in Andhra Pradesh
3. Holders of White Ration Card are eligible
4. Annual family income should be below Rs. 75,000
5. Orphan children below 14 years of age, all differently abled, all windows of any age, Elderly above 60 years age as on 1 March 2016 are eligible
6. Candidate who is already getting benefits from another scheme for the same purpose are not eligible

Document required for applying Kashyapa Scheme for Food and Shelter  in Andhra Pradesh:

1. Aadhar Card of the applicant.
2. Caste certificate issued by competent Government authority
3. White Ration Card or Income Certificate issued by competent Government authority
4. Copy of Bank Account in Andhra Bank (account must be in the name of applicant)
5. Passport size photograph (in jpeg format)
6. Reference letter from a Brahmin of eminence (Retired IAS /IPS / IFS Officer, Retired High Court Judge, Retired Professor / VC of any University, Chartered Accountant, Reputed Doctor /Industrialist, Bank employee retired in senior position, etc.), citing the applicant’s status and the need
