On March 15, 2021, Odisha Police newly launched ‘M-Police Mobile Application Scheme’ through which the police verification process for the passport applications in Odisha will be online and at a much faster pace than before. This scheme is a part of 5T initiative of the Odisha government thereby facilitating the citizens of the state. Under this scheme the police stations will be digitally connected with the Passport Seva Kendras and thereby passport applications can be directly accessed by the concerned police officers for verification. This scheme will enable faster pace of the process with complete transparency.
