Maharashtra Government launches Maha Jobs Portal for the Job seekers in Maharashtra

CMO Maharashtra, Honorable Uddhav Thackeray launched a new portal for the job seekers and employers in Maharashtra on 6th July, 2020. The main aim of the launch of this portal is to provide job opportunities to the job seekers. Employers/Industries can also register on the portal for finding new workers or employees as per their requirements. Domicile is mandatory for registration on the portal.

Key Features:

  • Maha Jobs is a joint programme of Department of Industries, Department of Labour and Skill development-entrepreneurship of the Maharashtra government.
  • Domicile certificate is compulsory for registering on Maha Jobs portal
  • Various jobs from 17 different sectors like Engineering, Health care, Textile, Logistic, Automobile, etc are available on the portal.
  • Candidates need to register themselves on the portal for applying for any job.
  • The portal is very easy to use, and is available in both Marathi and English languages.
  • Maha Jobs portal mentions a key note- ‘This initiative is to facilitate and does not guarantee employment’. This means, the portal will provide opportunities for job seekers and employers but would not guarantee/ commit any employment to anyone.

  • There are opportunities for skilled and experienced, semi-skilled as well as unskilled, unemployed and fresher candidates.

  • Registration process is very simple, anyone with Domicile certificate and valid details can register.

How to Register and Apply: For registration, the Job seekers and Employers have to visit the official Maha Jobs Portal @ mahajobs.maharshtra.gov.in

There are 2 different tabs for Job seekers/Job Finders and Employers/Entrepreneurs.

For Job Seekers:

  • Candidates should click on the ‘Job Finder Login’ tab, and click on ‘New Registration’, then fill in the necessary details like Full name, Mobile No., Email ID and verify them through OTPs received on the same. The candidate should also ensure whether he/she has a domicile certificate or not.
  • Then the candidate should create a strong password and confirm the same.
  • After confirming password, the captcha given below is to be entered and then click on Submit.
  • After successful registration, the candidate should login from the previous home page, by entering the Mobile no, /Email ID and the password created while registering.
  • After logging in, the candidates will have to create their profile by filling in the personal details, address details, work experience details, etc. They will have to upload the necessary documents like, CV and Photo.
  • After the profile creation, the candidates can go to Job search tab, and find the suitable opportunities as per their location, experience, qualification.
  • Once applied for the job, the candidate will get a Job tracking ID, through which the candidate can keep a check o the status of their application.

For Employers:

  • The employers should click on the ‘Entrepreneur Login’ tab, and click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in the necessary details like, Company Name, Sector in which the company is operating, contact person’s name, Landline No, Contact No., and Official Email Id. Employer need to verify the contact details and Email Id via OTPs received for the same.
  • Then the employer should create a strong password and confirm the same.
  • After confirming password, the captcha given below is to be entered and then click on Submit.
  • After successful registration, the employer should login from the previous home page, by entering the Mobile no, /Email ID and the password created while registering.
  • A company profile is to be set up and the vacancy is to be posted according to the requirements, applications for the positions will be received therein.
