Uttar Pradesh government has started Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana for providing new self-employment opportunities to the rural educated and unemployed youth. Under this scheme, the individuals will be provided with a financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs by the banks for taking up self-employment ventures. Interest subsidy for reserved categories and women beneficiaries will be borne by the state government. For beneficiaries belonging to general categories applicable interest is 4%. All the educated unemployed youth, artisans, and women individuals are covered under the scheme. This scheme is operational for 5 years. This scheme aims at holistic development of villages in the state in the long run.

Scheme Objectives and Benefits:
- The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the rural youth
- It aims at encouraging rural youth to take up self-employment opportunities
- Financial assistance in the form of loan of Rs. 10 lakhs will be given to the beneficiaries

Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
- Individual should be in the age group of 18-50 years
- All the educated unemployed individuals, trained artisans, individuals trained by Industrial Training Institute/ Polytechnic Institute, individuals registered in Employment Exchange of the district, individuals who have passed class 12 with village industry as a subject and women individuals will be eligible under the scheme
- 50% of the borrowers should be from SC/ ST/ OBC categories
- Preference will be given to units engaged in producing items mainly useful for the local people as daily necessities

- Scroll down and click on Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme
- Then in the ‘For Applicant’ section, click on ‘Click here to apply online’ option
- Start with registration then after successful registration, login and fill the application form with all the details
- Then upload any supporting document as required and submit the form
- Application ID will be provided after successful submission of the form
- Application status can be checked form the same portal
- After successful verification of the form and details provided the same will be approved as per the eligibility and the loan will be sanctioned
