The Rajasthan government has announced an monthly unemployment allowance (Berojgari Bhatta) for educated unemployed youth in the state. Boys will get Rs. 3,000 & girls will get Rs. 3.500 every month under Unemployed Allowance Scheme. The scheme is not named yet but it is likely to be named as Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojna.
The unemployment allowance is announced by the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gahlot & eligible beneficiaries will start getting the allowance from March 1st 2019. The scheme will benefit one lakh educated youth in the state. It will cost Rs. 525 crore to the state government.
It was the election promise by the Congress party. The BJP has promised unemployed allowance of Rs. 5,000 if it had come to power.

Unemployed Allowance Scheme Eligibility:
- Applicable only in Rajasthan
- Only educated unemployed youth are eligible to get allowance
- Applicant must be permanent resident of Rajasthan
- Age Limit: Candidate must be in the age group of 21 to 35 years
- Only unemployed youth are eligible for the berojgar bhatta

The scheme was originally launched by the Ashok Gahlot in his previous tenure. Till now employment allowance of Rs. 650 per month is given to boys & Rs. 750 is given to girls. Youth form only those families who`s family income is less than 2 lakh per year were eligible under the scheme earlier. As of now 70,000 youth are getting benefits of the scheme. Unemployment rate is higher than others states in Rajasthan. About two crore youth in the age bracket of 21 to 35 years are jobless in the state.
