The government of India has launched a scheme ”National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA)” for Farmers. According to scheme government helps Farmers to improve productivity of soil for better crop. Farmers can save up to 30% on cost of fertilizer. It will helps soil conservation and improve the productivity of soil. Also it will help to improve economy of country. This scheme will encourage farmers for agriculture

Pilot in Trichy:
The scheme was tried in TamilNadu. 70 villages selected from Trichy. soil sample were taken from each of the villages for testing. Soil sample included from irrigated and rain fed soil. Soil for tested for ph and Ec, Macro and Micronutrients. The cost of soil testing and soil health card is Rs.275 but it is given free of cost to farmers according to Joint Director of Agriculture of Trichy.
