‘One Nation One Ration Card’ Scheme, Odisha

To provide assistance to the ration card holders thereby strengthening the food security mechanism in the state

Odisha government launched ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme for the ration card holders across the state. This launch was undertaken virtually by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on July 29, 2021. Under this scheme the beneficiaries covered under National Food Security Act from the other states/ migrant workers will be able to avail food grains at subsidized rates from ration shops in Odisha. This scheme aims at ration for all the people in the state as required. It is a boon for all the beneficiaries. One nation, One ration card policy helped the migrants from other states during the pandemic times thereby helping them to avail food grains from any nearby shop in the state. It helps the beneficiaries with basic food availability to maintain a health and life balance. Through this scheme, the beneficiaries from other states can get the facility of food grains at subsidized rates at about 10,578 ration shops in Odisha.
