Caste certificate is provided by the revenue department of Goa state. This certificate is given to a person who belongs to S.C, S.T, and O.B.C caste. The user can apply for their certificate online and offline. The user needs to choose anyone and carry their documents with the application form. A Caste Certificate is the proof of one’s belonging to a particular caste, especially in case one belongs to any of the ‘Scheduled Castes’, ‘Scheduled Tribe’ and the Backward Class as specified in the Indian Constitution. The Government felt that the Scheduled Castes and Tribes need special encouragement and opportunities to progress at the same pace as the rest of the citizenry. In order to support the claim to avail the benefits of reservation in various courses and jobs, applicants must furnish Caste Certificates issued by the competent authority
Eligibility for Application of Caste Certificate:
- For caste certificate apply citizens need their caste proof about S.C/ S.T/ O.B.C
- Applicant must be belonging to Goa state
Required Documents:
- Application will be required to produce proof with regard date and place of Birth or any other documents showing the applicants or the parents are in Goa prior to 19/2/1968
- Certificate from Samaj
- Parents Caste certificate issued by the Prescribed Authority
- An affidavit in the prescribed form given above. Click Here to Download Affidavit Format
- Original Income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
- Vikas Patrika from prescribed authority(only in case of non-OBC)

- Name of the Applicant in full (in Block Letters)
- Sex of the Applicant
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
- Present Postal Address
- Permanent place of residence
- Age, Date of Birth and Place of Birth (if date is not known approx, Year of Birth)
- Community for which certificate is claimed (including Sub-Group)
- Caste (including sub-caste) of the father
- Caste (including sub-caste) of the mother
- Religion professed by the applicant
- Religion professed by the father of the applicant
- Religion professed by the mother of the applicant
- Whether the applicant is
- A natural born son or daughter of his/her parents OR Adopted son/daughter of his/her parents

- Then fill necessary information required and fill it carefully
- Then while filling information you will be asked for Affidavit Details like Registration No, Registration Date. You can fill it from Affidavit certificate. Then click on save button
- Note: In case relevant documents are not uploaded, the application will be subjected to cancellation, The Reference No. generated after submitting the application online should be maintained for tracking the status of the application

- Then you will ask to select Application Type and to type Application Ref No. then click on view
Fee for the Caste Certificate:
- The cost for issuing Caste Certificate is not more than Rs. 50
