Parker Solar Probe-Send Your Name to the Sun: How to submit your name?
NASA is inviting people across the globe to send their name to the sun. Your name will be included in a memory card that will fly aboard Parker Solar Probe spacecraft.
STEP 1: Visit http://go.nasa.gov/HotTicket to go to the registration form
STEP 2: Provide your details such as firstname, lastname and email id then click on the submit button
STEP 3: A verification email will be sent to you with the further submission details, click on the verification link
STEP 4: Click on the confirm submission button to confirm your entry
STEP 5: Download your Hot Ticket / VIP Pass, Parker Solar Probe-a mission to touch the sun certificate
Parker Solar Probe Mission Objectives:
- To study and know more about the Sun
- To know effects of heliophysics
- To study how heat and energy moves from the solar corona
- to explore what accelerates the solar wind as well as solar energetic particles
Parker Solar Probe Mission Highlights:
- A space craft of small car size will be used for the mission
- The spacecraft and instruments will be protected from the Sun’s heat by a 4.5-inch-thick carbon-composite shield
- State-of-the-art heat shield will keep the spacecraft at the room temperature
- The mission is named in honour of astrophysicist Eugene Parker
