Payment of Maintenance Allowance to V.J.N.T and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges

Payment of maintenance allowance to V.J.N.T and SBC students studying in professional courses and living in the hostel attached to professional colleges introduced by the state government of Maharashtra. This scheme implemented by Social justice and special assistance department in Maharashtra for professional students. Under this scheme, Professional courses are divided into A, B, C category and accordingly maintenance allowance is given to the students through the concerned Principal of the college. Government provide maintenance allowance for 4 to 5 years course (Medical, Engineering, Agriculture etc.) Rs. 700/- per month, for 2 to 3 years course (Engineering Diploma, M.B.A, M.S.W etc.) Rs. 500/- and for 2 years and lesser duration courses (B.Ed., D.Ed.) Rs. 500/- per month for 10 months as maintenance allowance in addition to other Government Scholarships. The main objectives of this scheme are to complete the education of V.J.N.T and S.B.C students who are the student of professional courses. The application procedure for this scheme is online and student should fill the details and submit it to the concerned Colleges.

• Students get maintenance allowance for 4 to 5 years course (Medical, Engineering, Agriculture etc.) Rs. 700/- per month
• Benefits for 2 to 3 years course (Engineering Diploma, M.B.A, M.S.W etc.) Rs. 500/- per month
• Benefit for 2 years and lesser duration courses (B.Ed., D.Ed.) Rs. 500/- per month

Eligibility criteria for Maintenance Allowance to V.J.N.T And SBC Students:

1. Student should belong to VJNT or SBC category
2. The student should be studying in the professional courses such as Medical, Engineering, Animal Husbandry etc.
3. Student should submit Application form for admission in Government Hostel
4. Student must be a permanent residence of Maharashtra state
5. Student should have admitted in the hostels attached to Professional colleges or approved private hostels

Documents required:

1. Passport size photo
2. Aadhaar Card
3. Caste certificate
4. Admission proof
5. Permanent residence proof

Application procedure:

1. Student should go to https://www.mahaeschool.maharashtra.gov.in and fill the application form, upload documents
2. Student should submit printout to concerned College
3. After scrutiny concerned College should forward application to concerned Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare concerned District
